The Spanish Football Association Concluded Its Cooperation With Adidas Early In The Zara And Puma Or Took Over.
The Spanish Football Association (RFEF) has recently said that it will terminate its cooperation with Adidas. The two sides originally signed a cooperation agreement to 2026.
In a statement issued by RFEF official website, RFEF said: "the terms of the agreement signed many years ago do not meet the minimum acceptable legality, pparency and fairness standards that RFEF believes."
RFEF also confirmed that it has started looking for new suppliers. The Spanish media AS reported that RFEF chairman Luis Rubia Luis (Rubiales Manuel) has contacted Inditex, whose brand includes Zara and PU & AS.
AS also called Puma a potential partner for RFEF.
Adidas has been the Jersey supplier of the Spanish national team since 1991, sponsoring 18 million euros per season (about 20 million 100 thousand US dollars).
This figure is dwarfed by Nike's annual sponsorship of the British Football Association (FA) of 33 million 330 thousand pounds (about 41 million 880 thousand US dollars).
