Adidas, a famous sporting goods company, was suspected of violating the flag law because of its five-star red flag design because of its two products sold in Hongkong.

According to Sina's online survey of netizens, more than 8 of netizens think Adidas has violated the flag act, and nearly 5 of netizens even said they would not buy Adidas products in the future.

At present, Adidas has completely removed the two products from Hongkong and decided to recall the whole world.

Yesterday afternoon, the public relations department of Adidas headquarters in Shanghai, China, sent a statement to Huaxi Metropolis Daily that the design of the two products (knapsack and Jersey) sold by Adidas in Hongkong market was related to the irregular use of the Chinese flag pattern, and once again extended to the consumers a very sincere apology.

The statement also pointed out that "Adidas has always cherished the support and care of the Chinese government and the vast number of Chinese consumers for Adidas. The original intention of these two designs is Adidas's wish to pay tribute to People's Republic of China, the host of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games".

It is reported that Adidas has removed all two products from Hongkong and decided to recall the whole world.
