Affected by the new crown virus epidemic, fashion week and trade shows around the world have been cancelled or postponed. In the absence of the opportunity to display the latest products through the T platform and the influence of the fashion buyers to expand their popularity, how to promote the spring and summer fashion series in 2021 has become a major consideration for major fashion and luxury brands.

In March 27th, the French La F D ration de la Haute Couture et de la la announced the cancellation of the Paris men's wear week originally scheduled for June 23rd to June 28th and the Paris scheduled fashion week, which was scheduled to be held from July 5th to July 9th. Italy Fashion Association (Camera Nazio) Nale della Moda Italiana also announced that the Milan men's wear week originally scheduled for June 19, 2020 to June 23rd will be temporarily postponed to September, and will be held in Milan women's clothing week (Milan Women s Fashion), which is scheduled to be held in September 22nd to September 23rd.

Originally scheduled for from June 16th to 19th in Florence, Italy, the ninety-eighth Pitti Uomo men's wear week was postponed to from September 2nd to 4th.

At present, many brands have different opinions about the fashion week and trade fair when they can return to normal. In view of the current situation, people are also full of speculation about the way in which fashion week will take place in the future. It is rumoured that London Fashion Week and New York fashion week may be cancelled in September. The fashion week in Paris may also be the same as the Milan fashion week, which will combine men's week and women's wear week two.

In this regard, several Italy men's wear brands gave their own ideas:

Lardini

Lardini, a high-end menswear custom brand in Italy, said it will display its series of clothing to international buyers on the Internet and display it through the exhibition hall of Italy regional agents. Luigi Lardini, creative director of Lardini believes that although Pitti Uomo men's wear week can be successfully held in September, but 2021 spring and summer clothing series is difficult to sell normally in September.

Luigi Lardini said she would not take part in the September Pitti Uomo men's dress week in Florence. Lardini said: "I don't think it's meaningful to have fashion week in September, because this year's spring and summer clothing will be shipped overseas from 11 to December. By then, people's interest in the spring and summer series has begun to decrease. If Pitti Uomo men's wear week can be displayed in June, I think it will be more helpful for our sales. "

Lardini said that the company has ordered fabrics, so there is no need to worry about raw materials, and will strive to provide customers with the first batch of samples by mid May. But the premise of achieving this goal is that the factory currently closed will be resumed at least 18 to 19 days in April.

Pal Zileri

Italy menswear brand Pal Zileri (Earl Riley) said it will take part in the September Florence Pitti Uomo men's week.

Pal Zileri brand marketing director Maria Rosaria Lombardi said, "September will be a development peak for the fashion industry. It is very important for the major brands to converge together. After all, business needs to continue, and we must convey such a message that fashion industry needs the promotion of fashion week very much."

At present, Pal Zileri has completed the design of spring and summer clothing series in 2021 and started production, but the plan affected by the epidemic will change. Lombardi said, "obviously, the scale of sales in summer will be greatly reduced, and international buyers will not be able to come to Milan in June, so we decided to build a" virtual exhibition hall ".

Herno

"If Italy's enterprises can be rebuilt around April 16th, it is possible to deliver the summer clothing series at the end of June and start the winter series work," said Claudio Marenzi, chairman of the Italy luxury luxury garment brand Herno group and chairman of the Federation of Italy Fashion Industry Federation.

Marenzi also said, "the advantage of not holding fashion week in June is that many brands need not be prepared very urgently. They can be more flexible and have more room to play when designing clothes."

Marenzi added that "plans to promote the brand of the spring and summer series between June and August will eventually have less sales than that planned to promote in September. After all, retailers are unable to prepare for the purchase in the short term. It is expected that the fashion industry will begin full recovery at the end of August."
