The Brazil export and Investment Promotion Board reports that China is Brazil's most important export target market in Asia.

In 2007, China's imports totaled 956 billion 261 million US dollars, of which 18 billion 342 million from Brazil accounted for only 1.91%.

Some of Brazil's products have larger export opportunities in the Chinese market, such as food (flour food and juice), building materials (non-ferrous metals, wood, rubber), fashion products (cleaning products, cosmetics, shoes, leather), machinery and engines.

In order to make its exports reach 1.25% of the world's total exports in 2010, the government of Brazil has identified target markets, priority industries and trade portals for further expansion of exports.

Brazil export and Investment Promotion Bureau has confirmed that Brazil has 16 export target markets, namely Argentina, Columbia, Cuba, Peru, Venezuela, Norway, Poland, Russia, China, South Korea, Vietnam, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Angola and Egypt. There are 6 trade portals, namely Chile, Panama, Turkey, UAE, South Africa and Singapore. These countries can help the imported products enter the global market.
