The future lies in fabrics.

This is Japan's main textile.

Manufacturer

The latest information is that they are expanding the production capacity of super and ultra light carbon fiber.

After the Lehman shock in 2008, demand for cutting-edge fibers has declined. However, as aircraft and car manufacturers are looking to use parts made of fabric, the demand for cutting-edge fibers has increased again.

At present, about 70% of the world's carbon fiber market share is occupied by three Japanese manufacturers. They are Toray Industries (Inc.), Dongli (Teijin), MITSUBISHI Liyang group (Mitsubishi Rayon Co.).

But global competition from China and other countries seems to be heating up, and Japanese giants have to consolidate their position in the industry.

Dongli President Akihiro Nikkaku said: "2010.

carbon fibre

There may be a gap in supply.

We must consider expanding capacity in the near future.

When he announced the company's first quarter results in early August, he disclosed that he might increase capital investment.

The company's quarterly balance sheet shows that sales of carbon fiber are 15 billion 700 million yen, up by 50% over the same period last year.

The expected benefits in the current fiscal year show that the increase in carbon fiber sales shows that demand is expanding.

According to Fuji's economic news survey by private research firm, the global carbon fiber market in 2013 is expected to reach 148 billion yen, or two times the total in 2009.

At the same time, analysts at a large Japanese securities company believe that Japanese companies' technological superiority means that they will maintain their advantages.

But in China alone, 20 companies are entering the carbon fiber business, and the market share of competition will almost certainly intensify.

In terms of aircraft business, Dongli signed a supply parts contract with Boeing's new 787 Dreamliner in 2006.

Dongli has also signed an agreement with the European airline defense and Aerospace Corp (EADS), the parent company of Airbus, to provide aircraft parts from 2011 to 2025. Dongli will start the production of eyuan County factory next year.

At the same time, the tenant company of Tobias, a subsidiary of the imperial Company Limited, made some progress in June this year, and signed with Bombardier of the European aviation defense and Aerospace Corp (EADS) and Canada.

Contracts, these companies produce regional airliners.

In terms of automobile manufacturers, Dongli has begun negotiations with the auto brands on the cooperation of carbon fiber vehicle parts, such as Germany Daimler AG (Mercedes Benz) and MITSUBISHI, Japan.

MITSUBISHI Li Yang is working with a German manufacturer to produce composite carbon fiber parts for BMW electric vehicles.

However, there are also difficulties in the growth of carbon fiber business, that is, the cost and the difficulty of raw material processing.
