Appreciation Of RMB For Export Tax Rebate Of Textile Industry

On May 12, 2008, since this year, under the pressure of multiple factors such as the appreciation of RMB, the rise of labor costs, the slowdown of international economic growth, and the reduction of export tax rebates, many export enterprises in the textile industry have faced difficulties. Du Yuzhou, president of China Textile Association, said that the export tax rebate of textile enterprises will not be reduced.

Du Yuzhou, president of China Textile Industry Association, believes that while facing many opportunities, China's textile industry also faces three major challenges.

Du Yuzhou made a theme report entitled "Seize the opportunity to promote the rise" - China's textile industry accelerates the pace of industrial transfer "at the" 2008 China Textile and Clothing Zhengzhou Forum "held here, and believed that China's textile industry is first faced with the contradiction between the traditional production mode, enterprise structure, industrial structure and transnational production mode, Faced with a series of obstacles to break through from the low end of the world industrial chain to the high end, including trade protection, the voice of developed countries and other challenges. China's total fiber processing volume has accounted for 40% of the world, and China's exports account for about 30% of the world. China has the most attractive textile production and consumption market in the world, and China's most internationalized textile industry is facing the most powerful opportunities and the most severe challenges of globalization.

In addition, because globalization has internationalized China's market, the Chinese market is the most attractive market in the world, and almost all the big brands in the world enter China. At the same time, the domestic market has become the largest position in China's textile industry. In 2000, the proportion of domestic sales of enterprises above designated size in the output value was 67%, and now it is 75%. However, with the rapid development of the economy, the continuous improvement of China's consumption level and consumption structure, the Chinese market has also brought opportunities to the world, which is the challenge to China's textile industry. The localization process of international brands is very fast. Eighty percent of China's high-end market is occupied by foreign brands, and the price is several to ten times of the price of China's mass market. Globalization has brought strong challenges to Chinese enterprises' control over the Chinese market.

Finally, China has entered a new stage of scientific development and building a harmonious society. This is the best opportunity for China's textile industry to upgrade and build itself into a textile power, and it is also a sharp challenge.
